Our Story on how we got started as a small little business.

Becky Jones (my daughter and best friend. We are both married to husbands with the same last name of Jones) had gone to a book fair at her sons' school. There was this soapmaking kit for $5 and she decided to purchase it after going back several times looking and reading it.

Well it didn't turn out so good. Very drying soap. But she kept reading the book and bought some oils and lye at the grocery store. Tried it again. Still not up to what she had read in the soap book.

One night she was really bored, her husband was on a drilling rig and the boys were asleep.

Well she got on the Internet and start surfing. Found some information on handmade soaps and essential oils and herbs. Tried another batch. Still not so good.

Then she found Handcrafted Soap yahoo group and joined. She started asking Gaye(one of the list owners) and others on the list all sorts of questions . Tried another batch. This one was nice but not quite what she wanted.

Then Becky started checking out websites of vendors on different things to buy.

Meanwhile I found a Natural Herb and Essential Oil and Fragrance Oil shop in Carrollton, TX. one day while I was visiting up there and bought a lot of different dried herbs.

Becky did an infusion of Calendula in the olive oil and made a batch of soap with it. It was so wonderful and creamy to her that she did another one and add the petals to the soap. She gave me a piece and I just loved the way it felt on my skin.

I found a couple of books on soaps and herbs. Becky tried a lotion and it made my very very dry skin feel so nice and supple.

Then one day I tried my hand at Oatmeal Honey soap (CP). I gave my friends some and just went wild. We can't make this soap fast enough for them. We don't scent it, it is just as plain as can be. It is quite funny how I did make this soap.
