Flower Essences-Beyond Aromatherapy: The Essence of Pet Health

By Renee Votta -CONT-

This is the best way to administer essences to certain pets such as birds and small animals like hamsters and turtles. Do not use glass droppers when giving the liquid orally to pets because beaks or teeth can break these droppers and you will have a disaster on your hands. Your local pharmacy should carry plastic droppers, or you can get them from your vet.

For dogs, cats, horses and goats, pulling their lower lip down and letting a few drops trickle onto their gums works great. For birds you can rub a few drops on their feet or wings. Putting drops straight onto their backs will just roll off!! You can put a few drops into a mist bottle and mist pets that dont take kindly to petting, or are so upset they will not come out of hiding. You can even place a few drops on bedding. If your pet has to wear a bandage, put a few drops on the bandage itself. This keeps the essence in the pets aura, working 24/7.Be sure to dilute most essences in water so that the alcohol preservative is diluted and will not harm the bird or small animal, such as hamster or lizard. You can either just dilute the essence with more water, or put the essence into a cup of warm water to dissipate the alcohol completely.

CASE STUDIES

There have been some remarkable recoveries with essences. One is a cat named Molly. She came as a stray to Percie Kane. Molly was a feral cat, but after an accident she was in so much pain that Percie brought her indoors. Over time Mollys legs became totally useless. All the vets could think of was that she either had arthritis or rheumatism but nothing they gave her seemed to help. Percie contacted Sharon Callahan, animal communicator and Anaflora essence maker. With Sharons telepathic help and her Return To Joy essence Molly is now up and walking.

Sissy is an elephant that has had a terrible life in zoos in Texas. Finally, she was given to The Elephant Sanctuary and given Return To Joy essence. Sissy is now happy and relating to all the other elephants and keepers in the Sanctuary.

Jennifer Arnold made a blend of 7 essences and misted a chameleon namned Socrates that seemed to be very shy and resistant to handling. After the very first misting Socrates climbed to the top of his cage and seemed to want to interact. The owner later decided to give Socrates a direct dose (blended without any alcohol) of Arnolds special blend and found that Socrates loved the essences so much he grabbed the dropper in his mouth and wanted more.

A Thoroughbred horse named Dancer started giving up on life, withdrawing and contracting many types of illnesses at age 27. At a Hands-on Horse Care Workshop Dancer met essences practitioner Kathy Edstrom. Kathy chose Bachs Oak as a first essence and immediately after being misted and having the essence rubbed on his gums, Dancer drank a whole bucket of water! She went on to give Dancer Wild Oat and Wild Rose over the course of the weekend.

Everyone was amazed to see the difference in Dancers coat from the first day of the workshop to the second. The essences worked that fast and they were able to visibly see Dancer respond to each essence application. Long after the workshop Dancers owner says, "The flame of life is back! Dancer is showing interest in his surroundings again." And Kathy says that in her years of working with essences she has never seen such a quick response to the energy pattern of essences.

Nico, a two year old dog in Minnesota ran under a chain link fence and attacked a running lawn mower, thinking she was protecting her owner. When she bit at the mower the blade sheared off three-quarters of her bottom teeth. Gina, her owner, immediately used Goldenseal to stop the bleeding and then poured Arnica and then a half bottle of Rescue Remedy (both by Bach) down her throat.

It took a half hour to get Nico to the emergency room and by the time she got there she was wagging her tail! The vets were amazed that there was no blood and that Nico was so calm and not howling in pain. Four hours and several stitches later Nico was home.

For the first four days Gina continued to give Nico Rescue Remedy, Gorse, Snapdragon and Self-Heal. Nico is totally healed and you cannot tell by her photo that anything catastrophic had happened to her.
