Young Living World.

This is a generic website copied and used by those who are distributors for Young Living, so this review will cover all distributors who use this "Template".

When I first opened the website, it was rather pretty and innocuous. The links were all easy to find and to use and the web pages were easy on the eyes, with no garish colors to detract from the website. Obviously this is a professionally made website.

When I went to the next page, I came across a lot of different supplements and products including internal cleansing products, vitamins, and tooth paste. Children had their own line of products including their own weight loss pills, which I personally find appalling.

Pages with text had a lot of references to a "Dr. Young". I have no idea who this is supposed to be, as the founder of this company and the one that puts his name on all these products is a Don Gary Young with no college education what so ever, let along a doctorate.

When I looked at the pages with Essential Oils and their prices, I noticed three things. One the pages were well laid out, not too long and easy to read.

I also noticed that the prices of the oils were around three times higher than the AVERAGE retail price. For example, rose oil was listed at $151.00 dollars for 5mls.

The other thing was a complete lack of botanical names and no indication where the plants parts had been harvested. There is no way of knowing what one is ordering.

They also had a list of kits available, starting at $59.00 for the most basic, going up to $1,617.00.  I was stunned by the prices and came to the conclusion that this was/is price gouging on a grand scale.

This list had absolutely no safety information what so ever. There were links to different  articles to read, to gain more information. Having read only a couple, I cannot say with any authority that they were ALL filled with pseudo science and rubbish.

This is a site that is obviously into selling their products and a ridiculously high price and promoting the MLM for their downline.

There is no way in good conscience that I can recommend this site in anyway except as an example in price gouging as an art form and as an example of a well  laid out website. 1 out of 5 A site to stay well away from.
